The Life In Colour Festival

In September 2015, Johannesburg will be host to Life In Colour Festival, the largest pain party on this earth. Life In Colour is not only about painting. It entails world class DJs of electronic music, the best production unit, one of a kind character performers, and a customized paint delivery system. A paint blast that occurs after a countdown makes the event even more tantalizing and one of the best in the entertainment sector.

durban painting festivalLife In Colour is one of a kind festival that you should not miss. If you missed the previous editions, you are lucky because you have another chance to feel the experience of music and paint at the same time this year. There is also a speculation that besides the sensational artists that were present in the past, this year will have even more artists that have risen up the ranks of the music industry.

Earlier on in 2013, the tour managed to pass through more than 25 countries. The number of these countries has been planned to rise in the years that follow. The tour had well celebrated DJs like Afrojack, Axwell, Alleso, Benny Benassi, Chuckie, and R3hab, among others.

There were some events that have never been included in any paint blast before, and they include aerial and fire stunts, contortion performers, and stilt walkers. This was an improvement from the previous events in that the lineup had grown bigger, many stages were being used, and the music events had grown more than those of the previous years.

The 2014 edition took place for two days non-stop, and had a total attendance of 60,000 people.

Performing musicians who graced the event include Adventure Club, The Chainsmokers, Borgore, Diplo, Kaskade, Nervo and Madeon, among many other more. There was even a try to set a Guinness World Record for the ‘Highest number of people covered in paint at once’. This attempt however did not succeed, but it will be tried again this year. Make sure that you are part of the team that sets this record.

Come Saturday 5th September, the JHB Expo Centre and Nasrec will be coloured in paint and changed into a musical state.
